Charles Leclerc says Italian GP win beyond all his Ferrari dreams

Charles Leclerc has admitted that the GP and the celebrations that followed exceeded his childhood dreams all, together using Ferrari hero hailed as a’national treasure’ following his success.
Leclerc was roared on throughout his epic force at Ferrari’s home race after a huge twist of emotion upon the flag, that the 21-year-old was greeted by a sea of crimson and the famous Tifosi as he stepped onto the podium since the Scuderia’s first Monza race-winner because 2010.
A Ferrari enthusiast from age five, leclerc, grew up dreaming about races in red – but nothing prepared him for it.
“It’s gone past all of dreams I had as a kid,” said Leclerc. “To view all the people for one group, singing altogether – it’s wonderful.
“I have never been on a podium with so many people under it and to understand that the entire straight was filled with people – 99 per cent red – it was good to see. Hearing them cheering, singing… there was only a great deal of feelings”
Leclerc was heralded as a world champion after his Monza masterclass, with the child as Lewis Hamilton, after which Valtteri Bottas, threw everything to acquire past withstanding a Mercedes barrage.
Even Mercedes boss Toto Wolff insisted”Ferrari have an impending great.”
Leclerc confessed his defence by Hamilton was”very on the limit”, but also that he’d do anything to never let this opportunity pass. A Ferrari driver in addition to the podium in the front of this Tifosi is one of F1 scenes, and Leclerc understandably found it challenging to stay concentrated in the race’s final stages.
“Over the last two laps I started to find in the grandstand that there was really a great deal of agitation, that all the fans were still jumping,” he explained.
“So yeah, I was telling myself’stop taking a look at the grandstand, look at the monitor, focus on what you are doing as a motorist and then you can enjoy whatever there is outside.’
“But it had been rather difficult to stay focused on driving, seeing how much movement there was at the grandstand.”
Leclerc added to Sky F1:”It is the very first time in my career I actually look at the grandstand whilst driving, that is generally not so great but I just had no alternative.
“They were just jumping and hammering all race long, it was great to see. Simply to triumph here seems very, very special.”
Leclerc’s Ferrari victory did earn praise from fans, fans and team managers – but also from the newspapers on Monday of Italy.
He was heralded by la Gazzetta dello Sport as a’national treasure’.
Corriere dello Sport crowned’king’ Leclerc, while claiming the age had started.
Leclerc became the second-youngest motorist in Ferrari’s background when he joined this season following a dazzling rookie season in F1 and stated wins like Monza revealed he was”more ready than some folks thought”.
“It has not been an easy start to the summer, there has been some mistakes,” he told reporters on Sunday night. “But I believe I’ve grown.
“I knew the critics of last yearI too young. Season in Ferrari and also in Formula 1 was for sure.
“I thank Ferrari for believing in me. I am really pleased to have these types of results to show that I was possibly more ready than a few people thought.
