Injured Johanna Konta brings season to early end

Johanna Konta has brought her season.
The British no 1 has not played since losing in September to Elina Svitolina from the US Open quarter-finals.
Her withdrawal is from the Elite Trophy in Zhuhai week, a event for those top-20 players who missed out in the WTA Finals.
Its a disappointing end to a brilliant time for Konta, who started the year ranked 39 and is sitting 11th after hitting the final eight and enjoying her third grand slam.
Kontas advancement on clay has been the greatest surprise, together with all the 28-year-old also reaching the final of the Italian Open in Rome on which had been by some way her surface.
She will hope to find out where she left off by pushing second season.
