Jurgen Klopp praises Liverpool ‘role model’ James Milner

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praised”role model” James Milner later he helped a youthful Liverpool side progress to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
Milner scored the opening goal as they won 2-0 away to Mk Dons about Wednesday night to prepare an enticing tie at home to Arsenal.
Harvey Elliott became the youngest player to begin a competitive match for the Reds at 16 decades and 174 days old and double hit the crossbar, but it had been evergreen Milner who Klopp chosen out as their primary performer.
“This man is on fire,” Klopp replied when asked concerning the 33-year-old’s participation.
“This is the way it is, it’s good. It helps a lot and he is a role model for young players. If we could play he’d be like this each day – .
“The group had a lack of knowledge and a lack of the player with the most rhythm and experience was the best player .
“We’re here to win the game, no other reason, so that I am quite happy we went , that is cool.”
Curtis Jones (18) was man of the game along with Ki-Jana Hoever (17) scored Liverpool’s second goal but it was Elliott who earned the plaudits from his supervisor.
“Sixteen years old and this sort of footballer, it’s fantastic for us,” added Klopp.
“[He’s ] a fantastic boy, takes the situation really well, desires to understand and he can always be a special player in minutes but his general game that is really, really excellent.
“He was a bit unfortunate otherwise he would have played, he is a good player but all of them are good.
“We haven’t any poor young players and that’s the reason it’s important we can provide them these games and attempt to continue like this.”
Liverpool return to Premier League actions against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday before confronting Red Bull Salzburg at Anfield.
