Jurgen Klopp praises Liverpool ‘role model’ James Milner

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp praised”role model” James Milner afterwards he assisted a young Liverpool side advance to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.
The opening goal was scored by milner since they won 2-0 away about Wednesday to establish an attractive tie at home to Arsenal in the next round.
Harvey Elliott became the youngest player to start a competitive game for the Reds in 16 decades and 174 days old and twice hit the crossbar, but it had been evergreen Milner who Klopp chosen out as their primary performer.
“This man is on fire,” Klopp replied when asked concerning the 33-year-old’s contribution.
“This is the way that it is, it is good. It will help a lot and he’s a true role model for young players. Each day, if we could play he’d be like this each day – .
“The team needed a shortage of experience and a lack of the participant with the most rhythm and experience has been the best player .
“We were here to win the match, no other reason, so that I am quite glad we went through, that’s cool.”
Curtis Jones (18) was man of the match and Ki-Jana Hoever (17) scored Liverpool’s second goal but it was Elliott who earned the plaudits from his manager.
“Sixteen years old still and this sort of footballer, it is very great for us,” additional Klopp.
“[He’s ] a brilliant boy, takes the situation quite well, desires to understand and he can always be a special player in minutes but his general game that is really, really good.
“He was somewhat unlucky otherwise he would have played, he is a good player but they are all great.
“We haven’t any bad young players and that’s exactly precisely why it is important we can provide these matches and attempt to continue in this way.”
Liverpool return to Premier League activity against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday before confronting Red Bull Salzburg in Anfield.
