Mick McCarthy to rotate Republic of Ireland team for Bulgaria friendly

Mick McCarthy has revealed he’ll make modifications for the Republic of Ireland against Bulgaria live on Sky Sports.
The Republic come into this match on the back of a hard-fought Euro 2020 qualifier on Thursday, which they drew 1-1 with Switzerland.
McCarthy is now prepared omit some of the players that showcased in that match in the Aviva Stadium and to flex his squad.
“You will see some adjustments,” he explained. “It’s an opportunity to see [the squad players] playwith.
“It is a chance for people who have travelled round Gibraltar and Denmark and encouraged the lads to find a game.
“Whoever plays, we would like to win the match.
“Should I make three substitutions, six substitutions – Why can it weaken the team, strengthen the group?
“Players who haven’t been playing, if they get the opportunity to playwill be busting a gut to perform in their high level and also as they possibly could.”
Without revealing if they may begin, the 60-year-old stated both James Collins and Scott Hogan will perform a part in the match, and there could be a potential yield for Matt Doherty when he can overcome an accident.
McCarthy stated:”James and Scott will play.
“I’d like to see a performance from those who disturbs me considering that I may have to play with them to another match.
“Or that everyone else sees that and they believe they could play and, if so-and-so’s not doing the business, then at least we’ve got other players that may come in and do a job also, if not better.”
McCarthy has disclosed his plans to incorporate a number of the Republic of Ireland U21 players at squads that were future – as long as it does not hamper their own effort.
The kids, who are at the top of the group that is European, conquer 1-0 on Friday, together with Sweden their opponents.
McCarthy has highlighted a couple of players that stood out in that triumph in Tallaght for him.
He said:”I was really impressed. Certainly by (Aaron) Connolly, I believed that he had been the choice of the bunch. (Jayson) Molumby too. Both may play, both can pass the ball.
“I hope they have playing to their teams. I hope if they do begin playing, they give me that difficulty and this dilemma.
“If I was to play with them and they were not to play nicely, that question could be asked . I trust , Terry (Connor) and Robbie (Keane). We all know the best players, we all know who should be enjoying.”
